Living in Sanford gives you access to fun activities both in town and in larger cities nearby. This month, we wanted to bring to your attention some of the fun activites going on around Sanford that you really won’t want to miss. Check them out and feel free to add more events in the comments!
Life in the 18th Century
This exhibit and learning opportunity is held by the House in the Horseshoe State Historic Site. Our nation was founded in the late 1700s, and this event seeks to bring attendees into that unique world. Come and see how life worked in the 18th century, including social customs, daily routines, clothing options, and the struggle to make a name for yourself in the “New World” of backwater North Carolina. Tickets are $10, and the event takes place on June 8 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Wild West Bingo and Dinner
Set up by the St. Jude Walk/Run Team “Angel Warriors,” the Wild West Bingo and Dinner event is an excellent way to have fun and raise money for a good cause. Located at Circle M City, the event will have all supplies provided to participants. Come get some grub and play some bingo. All proceeds go to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and help fund lifesaving research that can impact the world. The cost of tickets is $25, but make sure you sign up soon. Though it occurs on June 23rd from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., the event only has space for the first 150 people.
The North American Comedy Brewery Tour at Hugger Mugger Brewing
On Friday, June 28th, prepare to experience a night of endless laughter and free-flowing beer at Hugger Mugger Brewing. As part of the North American Comedy Brewery Tour, comics from all over the United States and Canada will provide you with top-of-the-line standup routines that have been lauded at international festivals, television specials, and in comedy clubs across the world. Plus, the event uses some of the funds raised to help animals in need. The laughs start at 8:00 p.m. and tickets are only $15.
